How do I know my category weights?
Most class syllabi list them — for example "Homework 20%, Quizzes 20%, Midterm 25%, Final 35%." If yours uses points instead, convert each category's weight as its share of the total possible points.
What if I haven't taken the final yet?
Leave the final category's score blank. Enter your target grade and the calculator works backward through the missing weight to show the exact score you need on the final.
