There is nothing to sign up for at Gradlivo. It is a weighted grade calculator, it does one thing — tracks a running course grade from weighted assignments and works out the score needed on a final exam to reach a target — and it gives you the answer without first asking who you are.
The idea behind Gradlivo
The reason Gradlivo exists is simple: a tool that does one thing should not need an account, a cookie wall and three scrolls of marketing copy before it shows a number. So this one does one thing — tracks a running course grade from weighted assignments and works out the score needed on a final exam to reach a target — and shows it immediately.
How the maths is done
The whole calculation is client-side JavaScript. What happens is this: it sums each category's weighted contribution for the current grade, then solves the weighted average backwards for the final-exam score that would land on the target — so the answer accounts for however much of the course is still outstanding. Because the method is published here, any disagreement you find can be traced to a particular step instead of being blamed on a black box.
Your data stays here
Nothing you enter is transmitted. Your assignment grades and their weights are handled by the page on your own machine, which is why Gradlivo has no server-side copy to lose, leak or hand over — and why it still works once you go offline.

How this stays free
Gradlivo costs nothing to use, and the hosting is paid for by advertising. That advertising is kept separate from the calculation: it cannot see what you type and it has no influence on the result.
